January 28 Introductory Workshop was held at St Bede’s, Tucker GA, was filled to capacity and a great success. Clinicians, veterans, civilians, and volunteers participated in the creative and expressive arts, led by ARF Trainers Karimah Dillard, MA ADT, Karen McCarty, LPC LMFT, and Christiane O’Hara PhD. Susan Anderson, ArtReach Founder, and George Wieder, LTC USAF (Ret.), Project America Co-Chair, met with the participants at lunch for an informal presentation on our domestic and international Projects and our volunteer opportunities. Participants were guided through meditation and visualization, art, creative writing, drama, dance, music, and movement to access personal metaphors and connect as a group. Thanks to St Bede’s Church for their donation of space.

  1. Please keep me posted on dates for the next class. I earned a certificate in Expressive Arts from Salve Regina University. I live near Newport, RI and would like to make this program available to military personnel and their families here.
    Thank you,
    Saralee Leary
